About Us

Dr. Julie Bloy started this dental practice as Family Dental Care in 1991 after graduating from Marquette University in Dental Hygiene and subsequently Dental School. She has enjoyed serving the Jackson and the surrounding communities for over 30 years.

As always, Dr. Bloy maintains a practice with emphasis on educating patients on oral health, as well as any aspects of general life and health that may benefit patients. She has a special interest in improving peoples’ smiles utilizing several avenues of cosmetic dentistry to do so.

In her free time, Dr. Bloy enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kashef is a second-generation dentist whose passion for dentistry began at an early age. Growing up, he spent afternoons helping at his mother’s dental office, where he developed an appreciation for the meaningful relationships and positive impact dentistry can have on patients’ lives.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Health Disparities in Society from the University of Florida before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

Throughout dental school, Dr. Kashef dedicated select Saturdays to providing volunteer dental care to underserved communities in North Florida. He also co-led a weekly mentorship group for middle school students centered on moral development, community service, and building meaningful friendships.

Dr. Kashef values creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, heard, and empowered in their oral health journey.

Dr. Kashef believes that exceptional dentistry begins with trust. He values taking the time to understand each patient’s goals, concerns, and experiences so that treatment decisions feel collaborative and personalized. His approach is rooted in patient-centered care—creating an environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, understood in their priorities, and empowered to make informed decisions about their oral health. Through open communication and genuine relationships, Dr. Kashef strives to provide care that supports both long-term oral health and overall well-being.

Outside the office, Dr. Kashef enjoys spending time with his wife, whether that means trying new recipes together, exploring hiking trails, discovering local favorites, and watching Milwaukee Bucks basketball with family and friends.

Dr. Joe Kunick graduated from the Marquette University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he received an award from the Academy of Dental Practice Administration and the privilege of participating in a panel designed to assist pre-dental undergraduate students. Before dental school, Dr. Kunick played Division I college golf at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. In addition to a number of golf awards, he earned the distinguished John Gray Award, an honor given to the male student athlete with the highest GPA. Dr. Kunick is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Fully trained, skilled, and certified, Dr. Kunick is someone you can trust as your dental healthcare professional.

In his free time, Dr. Joe still golfs. He also enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with his wife, Helen, and daughters, Zoe, Maggie, Penny, and son, John. He loves serving the community.
